July Breakfast: The Evolution of the Corporation
Friday 27th July
This event is now sold out!
Sponsored by 02
The breakfast meetings are always inspirational, but this one promises to be jaw-dropping as Richard Robinson explains why the behaviour of slime mould, the simplest life form on earth, bears a striking similarity to the modern corporation. Progressing through evolution, from slime mould to sponge, to octopus, to frog, he picks up more and more parallels until, by the time the amphibians are crawling out of their swamps onto dry land, all the necessary conditions for life as a multinational are there.
A naturally witty speaker, Robinson will shake up your Friday and provide you with a new name for the office.
Robinson organises the Brighton Science Festival, which in 2008 will have a strong business component. Come along and get a taste of what's to come from this scientist, busker and founder of Spitting Image.
Time: 7.45am-9.30am
Venue: Carluccios, Jubilee Street, Brighton
Cost: £10 for members, £15 for guests, includes breakfast
This event is kindly sponsored by our friends at 02, and everyone who comes along will have the chance to win a fantastic 02 mobile phone.
