The ‘Arts and Entrepreneurship’ Breakfast

When Andrew Comben took over as chief executive of the Brighton Festival in 2008, his vision was to make the event a ‘badge of honour’ for the city.

Andrew has combined his talents for both artistic vision and entrepreneurial skill to achieve this – not easy in the current economic climate.

Born and educated in Australia, Andrew has worked in music and the arts for the past 16 years in the UK, including positions at Wigmore Hall and the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme.

At this inspirational breakfast, Andrew will talk about the background to Brighton Festival 2011 as well as discussing the wider social and economic benefits of festivals and cultural events.
