April Breakfast

We’re delighted to welcome Darren Fell as our speaker at this month’s business breakfast event.

Fed up of years of corporate politics, Darren decided to risk it all on building a top UK digital marketing agency, from scratch and with no investment.

He founded email marketing specialist Pure - which began life as a party portal - in 2001, when he realised that the online email and SMS technology element was scalable and would become an essential business tool for brands. Pure360.com has since been sold for $7.8m.

Darren recently launched FreelanceAdvisor.co.uk, one of the fastest growing freelancing websites in the UK featuring advice, podcast interviews and a jobs board to help freelancers and contractors network, set up and work more efficiently. Darren has also recently launched his new venture Crunch.co.uk; the online accounting system for freelancers.

Darren won Entrepreuner of the year at the Sussex Business Awards in 2007/2008, and made the top 11 in the business category of Courvoisier’s ‘The Future 500’.

A champion of Brighton and the homegrown digital businesses the city is famous for, Darren actively supports as many as he can in his quest to help Brighton become the new media capital of the UK.
