Enterprising Engineers in the iPhone era
Panel chaired by Jonathan Markwell founder of Inuda Innovations.
This year's Enterprising Engineers panel will explore what it takes to build successful Brighton-based businesses that provide unique products and services, while standing on the shoulders of technology giants.
The Panel
Jon Markwell - Local entrepreneur, Sussex engineering graduate and Britain's first Twitterer! He is passionate about bulding communities of technology people; has spent the last 3 years building web applications for start-ups and agencies; and also runs a co-working space in Brighton.
Nik Fletcher - QA & Support at RealMac Software. Manages the world-wide community of this popular Brighton-based Apple Mac software development company. Also an independent iPhone developer and widely-published technology writer.
Aral Balkan - Creator of 'Avit, the iPhone app for Safari Books Online. A designer, developer, author, teacher, entrepreneur and performer; a Renaissance Geek with a passion for designing user experiences and a desire to make the world a better place via technology and oratory.
Jay Caines-Gooby - Head of Technology at Charanga. A multi-faceted technologist with over a decade of experience and an excellent practical and commercial understanding of the web, internet, mobile and interactive TV.
Antony Ribot - Co-Founder and CEO of mobile design agency, Ribot, and Sussex Informatics MSc graduate. Antony started in London, winning an award for his interactive project for Levis, before working as a developer and lead designer for Future Platforms.
This event is run in conjunction with the IET Institution of Engineering & Technology and Inuda Innovations.
Time: Doors open at 5.30pm, talk starts at 6.00pm
