Understanding Your Money: your accounts, budgeting and cash flow forecasting
When you start your own business, having to deal with the business finances can be a daunting task.
Even if you employ an accountant to deal with the annual accounts and tax returns, you still need to deal with the day-to-day financial decisions.
Without having a handle on your business finances it becomes difficult to make important choices such as whether to invest in new equipment, sign a lease or take on staff.
In this workshop, Carol Lewis of Bainbridge Lewis Limited will show you how monitoring your own finances efficiently will help your accountant in producing your annual accounts, reducing their costs and ultimately saving you money.
During the session, you’ll learn about:
- How to monitor how much money your business is making
- How to produce a budget for your business
- How to ensure your business has enough cash to survive
By the end of the session you should be able to:
- Set up your business finances so that you are able to monitor your business results
- Produce budgets and cash flow forecasts that will help you with growing your business
- Feel confident when making key business decisions
