USSU Trading Ltd is the commercial trading arm of the University of Sussex Students' Union. We operate a range of commercial activities, which includes; two shops and two bars on Sussex campus, access to the student market via advertising & sponsorship opportunities for local and national companies, events & entertainments provision, venue hire, and provision of external catering & bar facilities.

We are a social enterprise, which means that we are a business just like any other, however all of our profit is reinvested in the provision of services for students at Sussex. We work in partnership with our catering providers (Blend Catering), to provide external catering and bars facilities, and have a number of facilities available for hire.

Falmer Bar at the University of Sussex is the perfect venue for any function; whether you're planning a party, wedding reception, conference, training weekend, or something different entirely, we can offer an affordable, versatile venue that can be adapted to suit your needs.
Situated in a Grade II Listed building in the middle of the picturesque Sussex Downs National Park, Falmer Bar is surrounded by natural beauty and green open space.

Thanks to our three large rooms, bar patio and ample outdoor space we can cater for groups as small as ten, to large parties of up to 200 for indoor and outdoor events. The most appealing reason to hold your event in Falmer Bar has to be the affordability, our catering partners will tailor-make a food package to meet your exact needs, themes and budget. We can provide décor and entertainment to make your function hassle free and personal to you, our staff will endeavour to make your event vision become a reality.

Finding us couldn’t be easier, we're right next to Falmer Train Station (9 minutes from Brighton Station) and on a 24 hour bus route, there is also plenty of on campus parking.
