Focus4U Ltd join hands with Chestnut Tree House with a campaign to raise £10,000

Brighton based Telecoms Company and Chamber of Commerce members Focus 4 U has teamed up with local charity (and Chamber of Commerce members!) Chestnut Tree House as an official fundraising partner.

Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex and is supported by a number of local businesses including Juice FM and the Sussex County Cricket Club.

The Focus 4 U team has previously raised money for Heaven’s Angels, supporting health workers to save lives in sub-Saharan Africa. As a Sussex based company, Focus4U have chosen local charity, Chestnut Tree House, as their UK charity.

Director of Children’s Services at Chestnut Tree House, Linda Perry exclaimed “Without our support, families with life-limited children face overwhelming hardship and we simply can't let that happen”.  “That's why we have launched Chestnut's Challenge. This major project involves everyone in Sussex - and works in three crucial ways.  For our Care Team - to find and care for every life-limited child in Sussex who needs our support. We've given ourselves three years to meet that challenge. For local life-limited children and their families, to make the most of every precious day they have together.  For our local community to help us raise the money we need to pay for that care.

With this in mind, Focus 4 U aims to raise £10,000 for the charity by organising and taking part in a number of exciting events. This amount will enable one child, and their family, a two week short break at Chestnut Tree House with full use of all the facilities including, a hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room and their award winning memorial garden.

The first of these events is “The Big Wax” where 11 brave male members of staff will be undergoing excruciating pain by having various body parts waxed to raise money towards the companies target.

Focus 4 U is also planning a 20:10 games for the female members of staff where they will aim to complete 20 different activities in 10 hours. The company also aims to complete the infamous 3 peaks challenge in the new year!
