Forfars’ bakers dozen gain customer service expertise at City College

Sussex’s famed local bakery Forfars recently sent a dozen of their staff to gain ‘WorldHost’ customer service training qualifications at City College Brighton and Hove with award-winning Retail Trainer, Marcus Pescod. WorldHost courses are aimed at helping retailers to address the skills challenges of customer service, gain competitive advantage over competitors and improve sales.

“Marcus created a really relaxed atmosphere which helped put our staff’s nerves at ease and encouraged them to participate fully and I think they got a lot out of it”, said Lisa Philpot, Forfars’ Personnel Manager. “At Forfars, we believe that quality of customer service is as important as the quality of the products that we sell and this course has really built staff confidence in terms of their ability to relate to customers in the kind of friendly, professional way that the company prides itself on.”
