The University of Brighton are running their Renewable energy technologies for 6* sustainable homes one-day seminar on three separate dates this summer, Friday 20 May, Friday 17 June and Friday 8 July 2011.

This is a seminar to benefit and interest professionals from any built environment discipline and enable them to better understand what is required to reach a sustainability rating of six stars, within the energy criteria in the Code for Sustainable Homes. The seminar reviews the demands for energy in houses, identifies the requirements of the code and reviews the energy technologies appropriate for reducing the consumption of fossil fuels.

There are a limited number of free places available for eligible companies. If you work for a small to medium enterprise (250 or fewer employees) in the construction sector and located in the South East region you may be eligible for one of these. The South East region covers Kent, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire but not Greater London. There is one free place available for each eligible company, so if you are interested in attending please contact us and we will check whether your company meets the criteria.

Free places at the seminar are offered through the SMART programme funded by SEEDA and ERDF (the European Regional Development Fund).
