Business Development Manager for Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce

Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce is the central hub for businesses in the City and we’re getting bigger as more businesses discover how we can help them thrive. If you have a passion for business and want to be right in the heart of it all then this job is for you.

We are looking for someone who understands and will be able to sell the benefits of being part of our exciting Chamber of Commerce – someone who can promote the opportunities membership will bring to a business and talk to local business people about why they should join.

You’ll need to be assertive and efficient, have lots of energy, have a customer focussed and friendly approach and be able to deliver results. You’ll also need excellent web skills to help us develop our website still further.

If you think you can do the following tasks then we would like to hear from you:

• Sell memberships – we have sustainable monthly targets you will have to meet
• Help our members to get the most from their membership including on-line and face to face opportunities
• Promote the Chamber on-line and enhance our social media presence
• Work with our team of volunteers to develop the features and user friendliness of our website
• Meet members and non-members at our Chamber events  

In return for the tasks we ask of you, we’ll pay £20,000 pa for this full time position with 24 days (plus bank holidays) holiday pay. Our office is based in Church Road, Hove.
