Meet the Professionals -- Free Drop-in Business Advice

Would you like free business advice from Brighton’s finest business leaders?
On 23rd April 2009 a host of Brighton’s most respected professionals will be available to answer your questions about running a business – and it’s all completely free.

Why?
Because running a business through a recession is especially challenging. So Brighton & Hove City Council has created Meet the Professionals as part of a series of events designed to support local businesses.

Who is it for?
Meet the Professionals is for anyone who would like free, supportive business advice. The professionals at the event are volunteering their time, and are all keen to assist everyone that wants help. Whoever you are, and whatever your business, drop in for free unbiased advice from friendly professionals.

What subjects can I get advice on?

• Finance and cashflow
• Digital media
• Cost-effective marketing and promotions techniques
• Growing in a recession
• Managing staff, resources and operations
• Business planning
• Legal matters
• How to find more help and support
• Selling the right product to the right audience

Evening session: 5.00pm – 8.00pm

If you’re interested in speaking to the professionals and getting valuable business advice for free, please let us know. Email us with the subject areas that interest you: businesslifebelt@businessinbrighton.org.co.uk. This will help us gauge interest in the event and ensure that we have enough professionals to meet demand.

What next?
You don’t need to book tickets – just mark it in your diary and remember to drop in on 23rd April! You might want to bring a notepad and a few business cards as there will be opportunities to meet other attendees.

Professional support
You will also have the opportunity to meet representatives from the Economic Development Department of Brighton & Hove City Council, Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce, Business Link Sussex and other business support professionals from across the city.

About the event
Business Lifebelt has been created by Brighton & Hove City Council to provide immediate assistance to the city’s businesses. The FREE events and clinics have been developed in partnership with Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce and Business Link Sussex.
