Why join the Chamber?

When you join the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce you become part of one of the City’s most effective business groups, and by joining you add another business with which others can engage. You can share your knowledge and expertise, and in turn you get access to a new business network from which you can benefit. 

Our diverse membership reflects the City’s broad mix of entrepreneurs, from artists, writers and digital media talent to service organisations and professionals in law and finance. Our members range from sole traders to the City’s biggest corporations. We believe that it is our membership that makes the greatest contribution to the Chamber being one of the most varied, vibrant and progressive in the UK.

What does the Chamber do?
The Chamber is the voice of the City’s business people, and it’s a voice that really helps its members build successful businesses. We have a reputation for providing high-quality networking opportunities and delivering a wide-ranging syllabus of inspirational advice and effective training.

As well as helping local businesses to grow and prosper, we represent our members on the larger political and economic stage too, working closely with local agencies, including the Council, on issues like business legislation, building programmes and regional transport.

What makes our Chamber different?
Chambers of Commerce can be found in towns and cities around the world. They are a vital network run for and by local businesses. Unfortunately, some people’s view of Chambers is that they can be a little old-fashioned and perhaps not quite ‘in the zone’ when it comes to being truly representative of a city’s business demographic. We’re pleased to say that’s not the case in Brighton & Hove.

We’ve taken a close look at ourselves over the past two years with the aim of being relevant to every business in the City. We have a modern identity that hallmarks a progressive approach while, under the bonnet, we have built a team of full-time and volunteer experts who design and co-ordinate our strategy for supporting members. They are busy, successful practitioners in their own right, and they are the creative force and brains behind our brand, technology, events and training. With a healthy mix of gender, business size and sector experience, together we bring you a Chamber that really means something to your business.
