Behind-the-scenes: The Grand Hotel Brighton (Members only)
Behind-the-scenes: The Grand Hotel Brighton
Along the seafront at Brighton stands , one of Brighton’s most famous landmarks. With its ornate frontage and its own driveway approach, you can’t miss it. Beautiful both inside and out, The Grand Brighton is a place that’s steeped in history. The hotel was built in 1864, it evokes an Italian influence on Victorian architecture and is the aspirational weekend destination for many.
At the end of 2018, the Grand unveiled its newly restored façade following a major refurbishment project, resulting in new windows, a restoration of the balconies and rendering to its Victorian seafront façade, refreshing the face of this iconic Brighton hotel.
Our latest Behind-the-scenes event for Chamber members only will be on Wednesday 29 May. There will be a tour of the kitchens, the basement and weather permitting, you’ll be able to go up on the roof so take your camera to capture some great views.
Talking of photo opportunities, our tour guide Andrew Mosley (GM of the Grand) will take you to one of the Grand Hotel’s luxury sea-view bedrooms and onto one of the sumptuously designed balconies. Recent historical events will also feature as we’ll be shown where the 1984 bomb exploded and even where our then Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher was staying on that infamous night.
As well as the tour, of course, there’ll be ample time to catch up with your fellow chamber members over coffee. Networking is THE best way to develop your business and to meet and develop new contacts, so bring along plenty of business cards.
We are really excited to offer you this special “Behind the Scenes” tour, so book now. These events sell out quickly and we don’t want you to miss out.
Please note, areas visited are subject to availability on the day
