Join us on the 13 March 2019 for an event on 'Top Tips for Business Success & Financial Independence' as part of the Spring Forward Festival at 68 Middle Street.

This event is aimed at entrepreneurs, freelancers and business owners, however, anyone is welcome to come along.

Emma Hardwick, who is speaking at the event, has been with Plus Accounting now for 10 years after joining in 2008. With a keen eye for numbers, passion for assisting clients and staff in Xero accounting and internal systems, Emma is now the head of our new Plus Advisory team.

Jes Bailey is a crowdfunding specialist and the founder of Crowdfund 360. Jes aims to not only help entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs raise money for the projects they're passionate about, but simultaneously help them build their audience and marketing too. Jes boasts an 83% success rate having raised for 34 organisations.

Event Schedule

6:30pm to 6:50pm: Emma Hardwick will be taking you through the different business structures and how to choose the best one for you. 

6:50pm to 7:30pm: Jes will be taking you through the steps to help you succeed at crowdfunding (this section will include some interactive & fun activities) 

7:30pm to 7:50pm: Emma will be providing an update on the upcoming Making Tax Digital initiative being launched by HMRC in April 2019 and how this will impact how you keep your financial records. She will also go through the available cloud computing platforms to help you with this, looking at Xero in more detail. Finally, she will provide examples of how your crowdfunding amount impacts your tax position.

The workshop gives you the chance to discuss your views, opinions and questions with our speakers and with each other.

The Workshop will be held at 68 Middle Street, Brighton on Wednesday 13 March 2019- please join us from 6:00pm for light refreshments and we will begin the event at 6:30pm
